Privacy Policy

Gemstone Rhapsody (formerly Gemstone Cascade) · Last updated: August 28, 2026

Gemstone Rhapsody is a free game. Your progress stays on your device. The app shows optional, player-initiated rewarded ads through Google AdMob and offers optional in-app purchases processed by Apple. We — Serenza — run no servers and hold no account data about you.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your device only (Apple's on-device storage / Capacitor Preferences) and is never transmitted to us:

You can erase all of this at any time in-app: Settings (⚙) → Delete my data.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Gemstone Rhapsody uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded ads (for example, a "rescue" continue or a score doubler). Ads only play when you choose to watch one. To serve, cap and measure ads, Google may collect:

This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies: see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob apps.

Advertising identifiers and tracking

Gemstone Rhapsody asks for your permission to track, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. The prompt appears shortly after you first open the app.

If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show you adverts that are more relevant, including adverts informed by your activity in other companies' apps and websites.

If you decline, or if you have not yet answered, every advert request the app makes is non-personalised, and Apple's Advertising Identifier is not made available to us or to Google.

You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Whether or not you allow tracking, Google receives a device identifier that it uses to deliver, cap and measure adverts, as described above and under Google's own policies. The app also supports Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework for advert attribution.

Analytics

The app includes the GameAnalytics SDK to measure how the game is played in aggregate — sessions, progression, and whether players return. It generates its own random identifier, stored on your device. GameAnalytics does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier. It receives no name, no email, no contact details, and nothing that identifies you personally.

In-App Purchases

Gemstone Rhapsody offers optional consumable bundles of Notes (in-game currency spent on in-game content and on items that assist a run). All transactions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see, handle, or store your payment or billing information. Apple provides us no personally identifying purchase data. Transactions are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms.

What We Do Not Collect

Children's Privacy

Gemstone Rhapsody is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is delivered by Google AdMob in accordance with its policies. Adverts are non-personalised for anyone who declines the tracking prompt or has not answered it. If you have allowed tracking and wish to change that, you can do so at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you believe a child's data has been collected improperly, contact us and we will work with our ad partner to address it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, most requests concern data held by Google — see Google's My Ad Center and privacy controls. For anything on your device, use Settings (⚙) → Delete my data in-app, or contact us below.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (for example, adding a new SDK) will be reflected here before they ship.
